Terms of Service
These terms apply to Tagalong (tagalong.blog) and the travel blogs hosted on it, including blogs on their own web addresses (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Rapid Strategy Inc. (“we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Tagalong lets travelers publish journals and itineraries, and lets readers follow along, get email updates and comment. We may change, add or remove features at any time.
2. Your account
You can sign in with Google or with a link sent to your email. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and Google account secure, and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@tagalong.blog if you think your account has been misused.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of the comments and other content you post. By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and distribute that content as needed to run the Service. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it. We and blog owners may remove content that breaks these terms or that we consider inappropriate.
4. Blog content
Journals, photos and itineraries belong to the people who publish them. Do not copy or republish them without the owner’s permission, except as the law allows. Travel information is shared for personal interest; it may be out of date or incomplete and is not professional travel, safety or legal advice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone’s rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights;
- post spam, or content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your connection with anyone;
- interfere with the Service, try to gain unauthorized access to it, or collect data from it by automated means without our permission.
6. Emails
If you follow a blog, we will email you about new posts and trips. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any update email. We may also send you messages about your account, such as sign-in links.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on and links to services run by others (such as Google sign-in). Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@tagalong.blog. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to protect the Service or other users.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Rapid Strategy Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100).
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and if the changes are significant we will tell you by email or on the site. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
